I believe this was a poster for an LA show at the Smell that Panthers did as part of a “Glory tour” where we tried to buoy our spirits and fly to the west coast to not have to play Middle America again, and only play shows we knew would be good for us.
Beyond the show in LA at the Echo where we were asked if it was alright if Beck jumped on the show because he felt like playing a “secret show”, and then didn’t take any of the door money. HELLO $$$$$$$. And Steve Aoki dj’d before he really knew how to DJ aka “Bombs Over Baghdad” played twice in a row as he bumped the tables. But beyond that show it was not as “glory filled” as we had hoped. But still fun to be on the west coast.
Also fun fact. I believe this poster was designed by a guy who moved in to my building a couple months ago. or a year ago. I don’t talk to him and have not brought up that he might have designed this..because I will never stop being socially awkward. HOORAY FOR ME!
