This is why people have Tumblr accounts right? Just waiting to make this type of post. ANYWAYS….tomorrow night Monday August 6th 2012 is my last Maude night as a writer. I have been doing Maude for by my calculations(which is probably completely wrong) for 5 years and 2 months. I was on one of the first teams, iBadger and have never stopped, as I continued to write on The Skuntz, then Slow Burn, then Neighbor Boy. So it is time to take a break. I am not done. I am still going to be directing, and teaching etc. I just need to give myself a breather.
In all sincerity, Maude is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. There is a reason I have kept going all this time. Many reasons. Everything I know about sketch I have learned in Maude. I worked with some of the most amazing actors and writers and I am truly indebted to UCB and all of Maude. I am excited to see who the new people are on the teams and what awesome stuff they will bring to the table. Change the sketch game. Do it up people. That’s it I’m done
(oh and why did i use Bea Arthur Maude? cause i never think of Harold and Maude when i think of Maude teams…cause I am a rebel)
